As anyone who reads my blog frequently will know I went on a mini holiday down south with the fiancé to visit his family a few weeks ago. Whilst there we went for a day trip into Guildford and did a little shopping. Ended up getting some great bargains.
I have been looking for a jersey pencil dress for ages!! and would you know I went and found two while we were away. The first one is a 3/4 sleeve all grey one from Republic which I picked up for £5!! First I tried it on in an 8 which was too tight on the sleeves then I spotted a 10 so grabbed it.
I love this dress worn it a few times since generally with sandals and just some dangly earrings to keep it simple, then when I wore it to a bridal shower I threw on some bright red lippy for a pop of colour.
This one you cant really see the detail very well but its think navy and white horizontal stripes. Its a little shorter then the first one and you can see the short sleeves. I've also worn this one a few times since again with sandals and dangly earrings. Today was a little windy in Durham so I paired it with a thin white cardigan.
I love the simple design on this and even better it was £10 from Republic so considering the amount of times I have worn it, I think its paid for itself now.
We also took a little look in Hollister, remind me to take a flashlight next time its way too dark in there. Usually I don't find anything in there as all the women's sale stuff is still mega money or really kiddy. This time however I lucked out and got two tops. This first one is a loose racing back tank which is really cute, the front is jersey and the back a cotton material which adds another dimension.
The one below is a long sleeve thin jersey crop top. I love the low scoop back on this as its a bit different (and it shows of my tattoo hehe). Obviously got both of these from Hollister, I think together they came in under £30 which was a real bargain.
The last piece I picked up in Guildford was a little bandeau top from Urban Outfitters. This is another shop I don't usually go in, mainly because whilst all the stuff is different and alternative style as a whole there are that many people wearing the style it gets a bit contrived and try hard. Also it can be a little over priced for some of the stuff. I went in to have a look at their sale just in case and found this cute top. I have been wearing a few bandeau tops this summer under sheer tops or as you can see above under low cut tanks. I like this one as its got a wide lace band under the bust but the middle section is lined and has boning down each side so it doesn't scrunch up. I also love the colour in person its a burgundy red which works for summer and autumn. Picked this up for £5!!
As you can see I had a bit of a bargain day. Oh and check out the weather in the in laws garden, it was steaming hot all week ... I loved it. Topped up my tan a few days which looks awesome with my new clothes hehe
Last pic is one of my new finds all styled up and ready to go out to meet a friend for drinks.
Simple cream and black clutch, dangly white earrings, red sandals, tortoise shell wayfarer shades in my hand and my macaroon mint nail polish. Ooh can't forget the bright red lips for that pop.
This was my Outfit of the Week!
Let me know what you think of my new pieces.
xXx
